I've already told you how much I love the entire Les Ors holiday collection and showed you a few items, and now here's another little review. This time featuring Kiss Kiss Strass lipstick #363 Rose de la Reine and Le 2 mascara 13 Or 2 Nuit.
Read more about the products and see some pictures and swatches!
Unlike Rouge Imperial Rose de la Reine is a very light subtle colour. It's nude pink with pale blue sparkles. It isn't very pigmented (which is not unusal for Kiss Kiss Strass lipsticks, they're often more about shine than colour), but it does add a really lovely shine to your lips. Probably won't show up on very pigmented lips, but it will still look pretty nice with all the sparkles. It will work very well with smoky eyes for a night out!
The other item I've purchased is 13 Or 2 Nuit mascara. This is the holiday version of Guerlain's wonderful Le 2 Mascara, one of my favourite mascaras, and as most of this collection features a lovely little gold bee. It is a double ended mascara, one end is a volumising, lengthening black mascara, the other is a liquid copper gold laquer top coat (for the ends of lashes). What's unusal this year is that the top coat doesn't come with a smaller mascara wand (like the regular Le 2 mascaras do), but with a soft tip applicator. I haven't tried it on yet, but I can see possible problems with this. I find applying top coats with mascara wands easier, but we shall see.
So there you have it. I'm still missing one item from the collection and that's the wonderful Meteorites voyage compact, but at £107 it'll have to wait a little. I will get it, just a bit later.
Have you bought anything from this collection? Are you planning to?
